As Founder & CEO, Lily Lin brings two decades of experience building bridges between the UK and international education. Her vision is to ensure that UK students and global learners alike can access the skills, resilience, and networks needed to thrive in life sciences and beyond.

CognateUK is developing an approach to capability formation for an AI-enabled world.
We focus on how learners develop the reasoning, judgement, responsibility and ability to learn from experience that they need to operate effectively in changing and uncertain environments.
Our early thinking was influenced by Professor Rose Luckin's work on human intelligence and learning in the age of AI. Since then, our approach has continued to develop through programme design, mentoring, engagement with employers and educators, and learning from practice.
CognateHelix is the first environment in which we are putting this approach into practice and building the evidence needed to refine it further.
