CognateUK uses industry-standard practices to protect student accounts and data. This summary is written for parents and guardians — not as a technical security specification.
- Passwords are stored securely by our learning platform (Moodle) and are never emailed in plain text.
- Platform access uses encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- Role-based access limits what students, fellows, and sponsors can see.
- Live session recordings access is logged for audit purposes.
- Consent and policy acceptances are recorded with version identifiers.
